Description
PER: Ayacucho, Vina Chiquita, 2600 m. While material was received as C. morawetzianus, this locality could refer to C. morawetzianus var. pycnacanthus, which is not currently recognized. C. morawetzianus var. morawetzianus is reported to be restricted to Huancavelica, whereas C. morawetzianus var. pycnacanthus is from Ayacucho. However, this locality is very close to the border between Huancavelica and Ayacucho.
